Close to Athens there are stunning beaches, many of which are organized and can be easily reached, such as Varkiza, Voula, Vouliagmeni, Glyfada, Lagonissi, Sounion, Rafina, Nea Makri and Porto Rafti, to name just a few. Hikes around Mt Parnitha, Mt. Penteli and Mt. Immitos are a very enjoyable activity, especially for nature and outdoor sport lovers.

The prefecture of Argolida is a tourist’s paradise, with areas of great natural beauty, charming towns, stunning beaches, significant historical and archaeological sites and a well-developed tourism infrastructure.

You can begin your tour of Argolida from the picturesque town of Nafplion, which is located 148 km from Athens. It was the first capital of modern Greece and is a popular vacation destination for both summer and winter holidays. The town’s narrow alleyways, impressive buildings and quaint cafes along the port, make it an ideal place for nonchalant walks and exploration.
